NTS 601 – Survey of Acts & the Epistles
NTS 601 – Survey of Acts & the Epistles, a 2 credit hour course of studies in the Masters programs of Reformation International Theological Seminary.
Course Description: 2 credit hours
This course engages in a study of the books of the Bible; namely Acts & the Pauline Epistles. The aim of this course is not to furnish a detailed knowledge of these biblical books, but rather to acquire a comprehensive grasp of them. To that purpose various issues surrounding each book are studied, along with their historical backgrounds and purposes of writing. To some extent the relationship between these various books is also noted. All of this is done to give glory to God in providing these Scriptures as His infallible and inspired Word, and to explore what He reveals to us therein.

LECTURES: Survey of Acts & the Epistles Lectures and Outlines (DOWNLOADABLE VERSION with 21 audio MP3 lectures, PDF transcripts & PDF Outline)
These lectures were given in a classroom seminary setting in the 1980s by Dr. Morton Smith. They include some student questions and are an excellent survey of the books involved spending more time on some particularly troublesome passages and scanning over other sections. The lectures are transcribed and outlines and provided to the student along with the lectures. The lectures may be available through other sources for free and we don’t charge for the lectures themselves. The cost associated is from editing, quality enhancement to the degree possible, transcription and outlining along with delivery. Transcripts and outlines are available only from us. As these are available in pdf files, the student can print them if needed. Most students have found the transcripts and especially the outlines invaluable as they cut down substantially on the necessity of most note-taking.
The audio lectures are in an MP3 format and are available by electronic download.
